William Middleton Haygood mustered into the 6th Georgia Infantry State Guards on August 4, 1863 under Captain Wells. Family history says he died in Virginia. I really could use some help with this one, as I have been unable to find any further military record of him. His death is reported int the Washington County, Georgia papers in 1866.
