Let me correct myself. This William Haygood you have listed is not "my" Haygood. The enlistment papers dated August 1863
happened while this gentleman was in prison. Since all of you are so much more knowledgeable in this, maybe these names will help. The Muster roll is for "Capt. Wells Company Infantry, Lofton's Regiment, Georgia. Captain Thomas F. Wells. Company c ommanded by Col. W. A. Lofton" It is signed in August 4, 1863 for a 6 month period.
