Thanks. Someone also told me that Covenant Presbyterian on Church street a couple of blocks from the square was used as a hospital and that the wood floor in the sanctuary still shows the blood stains. I don't care to look. The same person I think also said that St. James next door was also used as a hospital but I can't remember for sure if that is where she said.

Stewart's division hospital would be confederate. the 40th Alabama was part of Stewart's division.

Is the Marietta museum still there? I haven't noticed the building with the sign in a long time but I rarely go to Marietta from Polk St anymore. When I first saw it quite a few years ago, I kept saying I'd check it out but never have.
