Col. T. F. Dorrough's Command

I am wondering if anyone can shed some light on the reserve unit of Col. T.F. Dorrough? This officer and his command is mentioned in numerous dispatches from officers in the Georgia Reserve Force in 1865. It appears from their correspondence that this is a cavalry unit as they are contrasted with infantry forces several times. Is this a regiment or a battalion? (It is at least this, as its companies are reported operating in different parts of the state at one point) A side note - sometimes this officer's name appears 'C.D. Dorrough' in telegrams.
Any info anyone could share about this organization would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
