In Response To: Col. T. F. Dorrough's Command ()

Thanks everyone,
It does appear that the 2nd Battalion GA Militia Cavalry identification fits with the correspondence, as does the Augusta surrender. You guys are awesome, and fast! I just couldn't seem to put an unit designation with the orders/telegrams/etc that refer to the unit by its colonel's name.
Hey, since you guys were so helpful with that one, how 'bout another. A unit referred to as Cole's Batt is mentioned in several GA Reserve Force orders. Soldiers who claim to have served in 'Cole's Batt' turn up in hospital records in south Georgia late in the war as well. Is this a Battalion or Battery? Is it known by any other name? Once again, any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.
