Alan and Jamie, thank you for the information. I had just assumed that it was a Confederate Hospital. The writing on his service record is difficult to read. It appears to be Kent Hospital, but I cannot be certain. I also have a Great-granduncle that was killed at Vicksburg and a cousin that was killed at Gettysburg. I thought that to join the SCV that you had to be a direct descendant. Thanks again for the information.
