To be Correct in your directions. Catoosa Springs is to the southeast of Ringgold and only 5 miles from Varnel, Ga.

There are by the Dairy of Kate Cumming, Confederate Nurse. To only be one Main Hospital at the Catoosa Springs site with 1 main Building and 4 out buildings used for different types of nursing of the wounded.

The hospital and the surrounding building did not come into the Federals control until late 1863, I believe say wrote of it's transfer to Kingston, Ga. in Nov. of 1863.
