You had mentioned a couple of things about your ancestor. He wasn't captured during the Battle of Franklin, but was captured at Franklin, Tenn. Allow me explain.

Charles Hutto was wounded and left in a Confederate field hospital at Franklin. Captured when the Federals occupied the town on Dec. 18, 1864, he was released from prison at Camp Chase OH on June 13, 1865.

I see nothing else that places him in any other Confederate command.
