J M Martin from Bullock Co Ga. enlisted with the Hardwick Rifles Co B on Oct. 18 1863 in Bryan Co Ga. by J B Hines. He went on and served with the 7th Ga. Cavalry Co H as a Buglar. His record says admitted to General Pettigrew Hospital #13 in Raleigh NC July 30 1864 with acute diarrhea. Returned to duty Aug 18 1864. What a honor to be a Buglar with the 7th Ga. Cavalry, he saw some fierce combat esp. at Trevilion Station Va. in June 1864.
