I am trying to find out what battle that Sgt. Alfred L. Robertson was killed at. It incorrectly states that he was killed in the 2nd Valley Campaign in the History of the Doles-Cook Brigade book (as well as spelling his name Roberson). I am pretty positive he died in the 1st Valley Campaign, I just don't know which battle.

There is a brief mention of him in Rev. J. W. Jones' 1887 book, "Christ in the Camp or Relgion in Lee's Army" saying a friend was there when he died but unfortunately they did not use notes of where Jones got that information.

Any information on this Robertson ( or even his possible brother in the same company [Co. D from Calhoun County, GA], James W. Robertson ) would be greatly appreciated.
