Private DeWitt Clinton Bacon (b. Liberty cty, GA 1845, son of lawyer E.H. Bacon; living Savannah in 1860 census) was detailed to the Georgia District Signal Corps out of Savannah. He does not appear in the NPS-SS listing on the 'Net (nor does his father[?], Capt E.H. Bacon of the "Southern Rangers" cavalry company, Savannah, although the Georgia Archives site displays the latter's muster rolls). I would like to learn the parent unit from which "Clint" Bacon was detailed -- I presume a Savannah-area unit.
