Wesley, there is, at Nickajack Creek and Concord Road, near the Covered Bridge, a house identified as the Gann House, and a modern subdivision named Gann's Crossing. This is in the area where the Battle of Ruff's Mill was fought. S.Z. Ruff, who had been a professor at the Marietta Military Academy, was the Lt. Col., later CO, of the 18th Ga. Infantry, my folks' unit. Colonel Ruff was killed at Knoxville. Are the Ganns in this area your kin? Sorry I don't have any info on Pickett's Mill. Stan
