i also seen on that site that he was transferred to company A of the 61st georgia from the 26th georgia. i can't confirm that either. i know nothing of him after the war. that is when i read that he was at the old soldier's home in atlanta and died there. i would assume that he is buried near atlanta if that is true. i also don't know if the daniel spikes of the 12th georgia is the same person. thanks for all your help.
