His name is James M. Darnell company A 56th Georgia he was from Campbell county Georgia. I have a civil war letter that says brother William has taken very sick on the route and is lying very low in the hospital at Tazwell Tennessee doctors say he has the newmonia fever. W.H. Mclarty is also sick and in the same hospital and so is Mell Darnell. These Polk brothers were his brothers and law. (Charles M. POLK killed at Newhope church)(William H. Polk died at hospital in Tazwell) all in 56th Georgia.
