I know where 2 men that died as a result of the Battle of Brown's Mill are buried. One was found dead beside a farmers well close to Rock Mills, Al. He was brought back across the state line into Heard County Ga. and buried. The other was wounded at Philpot's Ferry and died later, and is buried there. Google "Battle of Brown's Mill" look under "Union Dead". Several men drowned while trying to cross the Chattahoochee River. I also have some information on a man from Iowa that was captured near Rock Mills, and his trip to, and his stay in Andersonville. If interested email me at
