Hugh Harrison Brown, Born 1848, Jackson County, Georgia. Father was Thomas Lemuel Brown.
Wife: Mary Jane Vandiver born Jackson County, Georgia. Family lore indicates he served in 4th Regiment, Ga Calvary (Clinch's). Record appearing on paid site does not seem to support this as being my Hugh Brown. This unit appears to have only served in South Georgia.

Some other data indicates that h may have served in the 26th Reg, Ga. Infantry.

Have been informed that Hugh filed for pension, but have not been able to locate
any pension records.

Based on the date given for his date of birth it would not seem logical that he served as a Confederate soldier.
