I pose two questions. Would a young lad of 14 have been acceptable for a substitute at this time during the Civil War? Also would it be probable that a young man from Jackson County, located south of some of the northeast Georgia counties, would travel to Camdem Georgia to enlist? Camdem is in extreme southeastern Ga. surrounded by Florida counties.
