My Great Great Grandfather James M. Stokes enlisted as a private in company A Burke Guard April 29th 1861 in Waynesbora Ga. He was appointed Chaplain July 10th 1862. His Brother In-law James W. Heath was a private in the 48th Ga. James W. was captured at Gettysburg 2nd July 1863, and James M. was captured July 5th 1863. I would appreciate any information you may have on these two brave soldiers, and I look forward to your book. If I come up with any good information on them I will send it.
