Re: 9th Georgia Light Artillery

W.R. McEntire attended several reunions. There was a major article in the Confederate Veterans with his story.

Atlanta Constitution Ju;y 24 1898
Lieutenant W. R. McEntire of Company A 9th Battalion Georgia Artillery, who lives in Dallas, Texas, came to Atlanta with his wife in order to meet his old company. This is their first meeting since the war. Commissary Daniel waited on a table said he could not issue cold beer during the war as he did today - it was not to be had. Mr. E.D.L. Mobley delineated a certain officer in the 9th Georgia making a forced march under the influence of apple brandy.

Also mentioned at a reunion in Austell, Ga September 10, 1911 Atlanta Consitution. Seems he frequented the Benscot Lithia Spings Hotel in Austell.
