Searching Jesse S Davis, Hall Co. GA. I find a J S Davis, listed in online muster rolls as a Prv. in this company,but little else. His son applied and received payment for funeral expenses and etc. for his mother in 1935. In the application is a letter from Col. Hiram P Bell, Forsyth County of the 43rd stating that J S Davis was member of that Regiment , of which Company, the late J F Law of Hall County,deceased was Captain, and that the said J S Davis was a gallant soldier of the lost cause. Does anyone have any other information on the service record of Jesse S Davis? The only thing I found was a J S Davis, 2 Lt. Co D 43rd Ga.
