Thanks. This might be what I'm looking for. I will get right on it. This sounds feasible. The man in question had grown up in Georgia somewhere near the Alabama state line and had left. It is possible this man hooked up with the 48th Alabama when it reached Virginia in 1862. I will get in touch with my friend and he and i will go over this new lead. Again, thanks.
