Wheeler certainly had a wonderful opportunity at Brown's Mill to destroy McCook's column. As it was, casualties suffered by McCook at the hands of Wheeler, Jackson and Roddey were quite high. All three Federal columns that Sherman dispatched with such high hopes were defeated. McCook's was smashed and dispersed, Stoneman's was forced to surrender, and Garrard's turned back without attaining its assigned objective.

It sounds as if there are serious plans for the Wheeler-McCook battlefield near Newnan.
