Sir, The 6th Georgia Cavalry was not under Forrest's command 4 months before Chickamauga. I fact the Regiment was in a different Department,The Department of East Tenn. J.W. Minnich, Co G, 6th Georgia Cavalry writes that the 6th left Cumberland Gap in the spring of 1863 with 963 men.
