Does anyone know why there were so many Confederate vets. buried in the Pooleville Cem. in NW Carter Co., OK? Many have surnames unrelated to families in the area. Some died the same year, like 1892. There was a Confederate Vet. Home in the county seat Ardmore, OK, but there were cemeteries closer than Pooleville. Appreciate any information.
