The old Confederate home was turned into a regular Vet. Home many years ago. I'm curious why so many Conf. vets were buried in one cemetery far from the Conf. Home in Ardmore, especially with the same death dates; some were there before the Conf. Home was built. Most of the Carter county cemeteries have a few Confederate and Union vets.--but why so many in Pooleville?
