Is anyone familiar with Dr. Frank Cunningham's book "General Stand Watie's Confederate Indians"? I am not sure that I agree with some of his writings. He states that Col. Stand Watie and at least 1,000 Cherokees and Choctaws participated in the battle at Oak Hills. I found several other statements that in my opinion are incorrect.
