Okay, now I have to retract what I said before about not being in any of Wiley Britton's books. I was told to check his book 'Pioneer Life in Southwest Missouri' in which, I am told, he comments on the IHG servicing the captured battery (Howell's Battery captured at Ft Wayne which became Hopkin's Battery).
