Hello everybody,

Many apologies for the delay in responding to your messages - I have been away on holiday and my computer was also out of action for three weeks. My particular thanks are due to Robert Negelein, Ken Martin and Cecil Jones for their extremely helpful replies concerning the massacre of the Tonkawa Indians. This gives me all the information I need to complete my chapter on the Civil War in Indian Territory. If any of you would like to e-mail me my e-mail address is brianstone2@hotmail.com. I look forward to hearing from you and once again many thanks for your help. As far as my own book is concerned, I have nearly completed the first draft - I do have an academic mentor, Professor Mick Gidley of Leeds University (UK) who is an expert on trans-Mississippi American history post 1850, and he has kindly agreed to read the relevant chapters of my book; what I need is someone with the necessary academic expertise who might be willing to read and comment on the chapters from 1607 up to 1850. Any ideas? Warmest regards,

Brian Stone.
