I'm curious as to which map is better in terms of understanding the road network in this area during the Civil War.

I have the O.R. Atlas on DVD and have been comparing it to the Henry Jackson Map which can be viewed online.

I believe the Henry Jackson Map was created in 1869 while the O.R. Atlas was created in the 1880's.

I'm trying to reconcile the two maps especially with respect to the road network.

They just don't quite match up.

For that matter many of the maps in the books I have don't quite match up either.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me which of these maps (or any other map you may know of) they think is more accurate and briefly why.
