Thanks for the reply, this is good information to have. I'll continue to research as I have time to do so. I often wish I could travel back in time and fill in the missing pieces. I suspect it will remain a mystery. Then again, one never knows, some document could surface that would settle it one way or the other. I've learned a lot about Cherokee history along the way, and also about my family. So it's been a good thing.
