Hey Johnny Reb,

Yep, this is the same person. I had found that information online as well. It seems the Masonic rescue of his wife and daughter took place around 1838 in the Etowah area of Georgia after he was found guilty of a crime with a punishment of execution according to Cherokee Indian law. He had fled GA and his wife and child were taken to fulfill his punishment. I'm trying to find out what that crime was and any information on the Mason Lodge he belonged to during his years living in Georgia.

I can send you the source page I found this event from if you will email me. It came from the book Cry of The Eagle.

Thank you,

Michael
