Her maiden name was Sarah Ann [Brown] Bull, b. Ark. I have a lot of information on her family. Sarah's sister, Josephine [Brown] Richey, was my great grandma. Their parents were David (b. 1822 Ala-d. 1865 Ark)and Harriet [Guess/Gist] Brown (b. Tn/Al 1817-d. 1886 Denton Co., Tx), and David's parents were John (b. @ 1790 location unknown, d. btw 1847 and 1850 where his wife is a widow) and Mary [Black] Brown (b. 1801 NC d. after 1860-before 1870 Arkansas). I love doing genealogy as well. I have taken an autosomal DNA test and I am mostly Caucasian, but it showed that we do have some American Indian DNA as well. Judging from old photos the Indian blood is through the Brown's. I looked into most of my ancestors, but when I got to Tarlton, he just seemed like an interesting character and a colorful fellow, so I kept looking to see what else I could find about him. Dad (A. O. Hawkins 1915 Ok -1992 Ok)was also a big story teller growing up, and he met and talked with Tarlton when he was a young boy. Dad left the impression Tarlton was a big story teller. Tarlton made an impression on dad or he wouldn't have mentioned him most likely.
