We are anxiously awaiting your finding the ca. 1931 newspaper article by Opotheyahola's daughter that you mentioned:
.
"I also found a newspaper article, which I have copied and misplaced, c. 1931, in which Opotheyahola's daughter states that the battlefield was, (surprise!!!!) in sw Tulsa County."
.
Let's not forget that Robert W. DeMoss of Cleveland OK did a rather comprehensive study of the Battle of Round Mountain. ..Most of his writings can be found at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. ..Below is from my annotated bibliography.

DeMoss, Robert W. DeMoss, STATE OF THIEVES, Cleveland OK, Privately Published (2004), 160 pp. Robert was an active member of the Tulsa Archeological Society, which is where I, your editor, met him. Ken W. Martin and I were invited to visit him at his Cleveland OK home, where he was born and raised. As a kid he feverishly studied the Battle of Round Mountain, got a university degree, and worked for AMOCO (American Oil Company) his working life then retired to the home where he was born. He resumed his study of the Battle of Round Mountain and drew several 36-inch-by-48-inch maps showing the movement of troops. Ken Martin borrowed these maps to copy. Robert drove us around the local area pointing out troop movements depicted on the maps.

Robert W. DeMoss told Ken Martin and me that he was a good friend of several members of Opotheyahola's family. ..He also stated that he was honored to be the only "white" invited to a special Muscogee (Creek) Indian ceremonial meeting.
