Michael, Thanks for your apparent vote of confidence; however, I have little, if any, influence upon the Oklahoma Historical Society, except that I am a good friend of the current president.

An archeological investigation would be great . . . except for the fact that much of the site is under the waters of Lake Keystone and I just don't believe that the state nor the Corps will be interested in draining the lake.

Responding to another post: The Oklahoma Historical Society has NOT determined that the site was at Yale. There are OHS employees who participate in the locally-sponsored Yale reenactment but that event is NOT an official OHS function. The Board has repeatedly said that there are good arguments on both sides and because one site is incapable of "speaking for itself" (through archeology) that the case cannot be settled, therefore they as a Board will not vote upon the matter.
