looking forward to this! i always stress the irony, in my ok history classes, of what happened to the creek and seminole tribes after the war regarding the loss of lands due to treaties with the confederacy...the fact that these two tribes seemed to lose the most land yet had so many members who fought for the union...the political abilities of the choctaw, chickasaw and cherokee enabled them to stave off what happened to the creek and seminole for a little while.
