Re: Civil War Pensions
In Response To: Re: Civil War Pensions ()

I was wondering if someone could find out if my 4th generation grandfather "James White" ever had a civil war pension. He enlisted in the 14th Reg't, Co F, KY CAV from 1862 to 1864 as 2nd Crpl.

in the 1860 Census he is living in Estill Co Ky at Station Camp with wife Sally and children; Syrus, William G and his sister-in-law, Malinda Pearson.

1870 census he was living in Estill Co, KY with wife Lurilda, and children; Mary E, Martha A, and Henry.

1880 cenus shows him living in Powell Co, Ky with his 2 sons, Henry and David.

He was married 3 times. 1st to Sally (Sarah) 2nd to Lurilda and 3rd to Ellen Fisher Todd.
He died in 1905 and buried in Estill Co, Ky.

Thank you for your help
Marcie
