Thanks Jim for your reply to my post about Thomas W. Dixon. He was born and raised in Henderson County Kentucky. I'm not sure of exact birthday but sure it was in 1843.He didnt have any other male siblings.He should be listed in the 1860 census maybe living with mother and step father,Spencer C.Melton. He married Mary Francis Duncan in Henderson county in 1866.Thomas died while living with his son Guy O.Dixon in Webster County Kentucky in 1918.I hope this will shed some light as to whether he recieved a civil war pension and if so which outfit he fought with.Thank you for you time.
