I consider myself Southern by the very fact I was born south of the Ohio River and believe in states rights. Being from a border state I did in fact have family that fought on both sides of the war. It would be hard for me to say how most Kentuckians feel about which Kentucky is, Northern or Southern. I can only speak for those I know and most, if not all, feel like they are Southern whether they had Confederate ancestors or not.
