Thanks Greg and could you please tell me the title of the book about Camp Beauregard and the author! Do you recall what Union regiments tried to hunt down King's Hell Hounds?I should have continued driving south 2 summers ago after visiting Belmont State Park where battle raged in 1861 and where I saw the notorious chain the CSA used across the Mississippi River! Good museum there and great CSA and Union firarms on display too!
