Notice is hereby given that the Board of Equalization for Marion Co., Mo. will be in session on Monday, the 20th day of May 1867 at the Court House in the City of Palmyra for the purpose of hearing all appeals from the increase of valuation placed by said Board on the following described Real Estate, listed in the Assessor's Book for 1867: John M. Bowles listed as a neighbor to John Shearer Bush, Sr. in Miller Township. Other Bowles listed in the county at this time are: G. J. Bowles - Round Grove Township; Dabney Bowles and Joseph J. Bowles - Fabius Township, Burilla Bowles - Union Township.
