Didn't have an ancestor in the unit, but I'm researching the early units at Camp Dennison, and have always had an interest in both the 1st and 2nd Kentucky. What sort of info are you looking for exactly? There were some Kentuckians in the Regt. Also, as you have pointed out several Ohio (Cincinnati) companies that were not taken into, or had no interest in mustering into the early Cincinnati regts. Also some info on the uniforms and equipage issued at Dennison to the Regt. Am researching with the hope of writing an article on that, might be able to help out a bit.
