It appears that "General Withers" lived in Morehead, Ky. In the Church of Christ in that town is a stained glass window which is dedicated to his memory and that of his daughter "Little Rebel" Withers. Might want to call the church to see if they have any more history as he was a parishioner. Pastor's name is Molly Smothers. Curiously, Morehead is located in a Appalachian region which generally were Unionist in sentiment.
