William Temple Withers is my great grandfather. One of his daughters Lena Withers, my grandmother, was born at Fairlawn in Lexington, Ky. I know there is a bronze bust of him in Vicksburg, MS. I believe he was in charge of the artillery. At one point there was a biography about him floating around but I am not entirely sure where in my be now.
