One more thing to add regarding the 69th Indiana's casualties: Their high command had obviously been wrecked, with Korff, his second-, and thrid-in-command having been wounded, but his entire officer corp had suffered heavily. At least thirteen of Korff's officers had been killed or wounded in the fighting. Just thought I should add that.
