I am also interested in the 13th.

My ggg grandfather was John C. Oney. I have his autobiography in which he states he was captured at Gladesville and taken to Cincinnati to a POW camp and later to Camp Chase and then to Rock Island, IL.

I have found a roster for Co. F and I see there were no less than 4 John Oneys. One a 4th Sgt., One a 2nd Crpl., and 2 privates. One of the Privates is listed as John C. Oney which is the name my ancestor went by. This makes sense as he was only 16 when he joined the Regiment.

This roster states that the Sgt. John Oney was taken prisoner, but there is no mention of John C. Oney being among the captured.

Can you shed any light on this or provide any further info. on the 13th?

Thanks so much!
