Richard Smith, Private, Company G, 1833-1901, son of Thomas and Sarah Clemons Smith, Brother to Corp. Benjamin Smith and Sgt. Elias Smith, buried in the Stacy and Smith Cemetery off RT. 1098, two miles from Decoy in Knott County, has a Confederate Tombstone, set by the Colonel Ben Caudill Camp No. 1629 of the SCV.
