I am not that familiar with partisan operations in Kentucky but Ben Cooling's excellent book 'Ft. Donelson's Legacy" will be of help as it covers middle KY and TN from the fall of Ft. Donelson through 1863 and covers in detail some of this activity.

There may be other sources but this one is great as far as I am concerned.
