Thank you for the response. I contacted Missouri and there was no application made for a pension. I figured that alot of the info in the obit was "dressed up" but with his wife and children surviving him surely the part about fighting for the confederacy was not a complete lie. But, if he did serve, it is strange I can't find him listed anywhere. Not sure what to think........
