My children have an ancestor named James Bray (TN) b. Nov 17, 1816. d. 1890. Spouse was Catherine Lewis Tuck. B. Nov 2, 1823. D. 1890 TN. My children are direct decendents of this James Bray and Cathrine Lewis Tuck (related to Capt. Meriwether Lewis of Lewis & Clark expedition. Also, decended from Elizabeth Warner, sister of Mildred Warner, grandmother of George Washington. I have genealogy (direct) well past Wm. the Conqueror, de Clare's of Normandy,Percy, Nevill(e)s, Edward II, and Rollo of Norway. Could our James Bray be related to your James Bray? I'm not sure through who, but my daughter is elegible to be in DAR. She has also been invited to apply to Grande Dames, due to her ancestory to Knights of Garter and Kings.
