Re: Doctor at the battle of Perryville

Given what I see here about the battle, he must have been involved with the medical treatment. According to a memoir after his death published in The American Practicioner, he graduated from Transylvania University as a Doctor of Medicine in 1843. He lived in Danville (his house was named "Oakland") and practiced medicine on Salt River until 1891. He was married to Mary McDowell, daughter of Captain Samuel McDowell.
